FutureIN Luton delivers supported employment, work experience and apprenticeship pathways into the construction industry for vulnerable young people.
The programme supports local people with real opportunities on live construction projects, while enabling contractors to build a sustainable and inclusive workforce.
Delivered in partnership with local employers and stakeholders, FutureIN helps ensure growth and regeneration in Luton create long-term benefits for people and communities.

    Extending FutureIN to Support Luton Care Leavers

    Following successful delivery across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Luton Council has asked TrAC to extend FutureIN to support looked after children and care leavers in Luton.
  • Ongoing workforce shortages across key construction trades
  • An ageing construction workforce and limited new entrants
  • Pressure to deliver housing, infrastructure and commercial development on time
  • The region must build 12,100 homes in five years to meet housing demand.
    • FutureIN aims to provide supported routes into training, employment and long-term careers within the construction industry.
